A traditional Kerala breakfast prepared with rice during Vishu
- 1 cup Raw rice
- 2 cups thick Coconut milk
- 2 cups thin Coconut milk
- 1 cup Water
- 1/4 teaspoon Cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Pressure cook rice with thin coconut milk, water, cumin powder and salt.
- Once cooked, add thick coconut milk and stir till the mixture thickens.
- Transfer the mixture to a plate and level with a spoon. Cut into desired shapes.
- Serve Vishu katta with Jaggery syrup.
