Verkadalai Sundal

Protein rich spicy peanuts. It is also known as Peanut Sundal.


  • 5 1/2 cups peanuts
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 dry red chilli
  • Salt to taste
  • 5 curry leaves
  • 2 tablespoons grated coconut


  1. Pressure cook peanuts with salt and water for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat oil. Splutter mustard seeds, curry leaves and dry red chillies.
  3. Add boiled peanuts and grated coconut to the tempering. Mix well.
