Coarse powder of mixed roasted lentil, red chillies and asafetida


  • 1 cup Urad dal
  • 1/4 cup Chana dal
  • 1/4 cup Whole moong
  • 1/4 cup Whole masoor
  • 2 tablespoons White sesame seed
  • 8 Red chillies
  • 1/2 teaspoon Asafetida powder
  • Salt to taste


  1. Dry roast sesame seeds till they start popping. Keep aside.
  2. Dry roast all the dals separately, till light brown.
  3. Dry grind all the ingredients together with salt to coarse powder.
  4. Store Milagapodi in airtight containers.
