Laayi Pitte Undo

Broken puffed rice teamed with jaggery, nuts and seasame


  • 2 cups laayo/laayi
  • 150 grams Jaggery
  • 2 tablespoons kali til / black sesame seeds
  • 12 cashewnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder


  1. Dry roast til and cashewnuts separately. Keep aside.
  2. Heat jaggery along with water to make sticky jaggery paste.
  3. As syrup cools a bit, add cardamom powder, roasted sesame seeds, cashew nuts and puffed grains. Stir well quickly.
  4. Make balls of mixture with greased hand. Allow to cool.
