Kachalu chaat

Savoury salad made from Arbi


  • 4 kachalu / arbi, boiled, peeled, chopped
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 4 tablespoons yoghurt
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • Fresh coriander for garnish


  1. Mix boiled chopped kachalu along with chopped tomato and onion.
  2. Whisk yogurt, lemon juice, salt, black pepper and red chilli.
  3. Mix yogurt to kachalu mixture.
  4. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve Kachalu chaat.
