Gardudde Halvo is a popular konkani dessert, which is very easy to make. It is a delicious sweet dish prepared by cooking grated bottle gourd in milk and jaggery.
- 2 cups grated bottle gourd, peeled and grated
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups jaggery
- 1 tablespoon cashew nuts
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- Cook cashews and grated bottle gourd with milk.
- When all the milk is absorbed, add jaggery and cook till all the jaggery is melted. Add cardamom powder. Mix well.
- Serve Gardudde Halvo warm or chilled.
