Vegetable dish made with the tender stalks of dera aka Alpinia nigra
- Tender stalks (deragong) of the Alpinia nigra
- Chopped tomatoes
- Diced potatoes
- Garlic paste
- Ginger paste
- Cumin powder.
- Heat oil. Stir fry vegetables and spices. Cover and cook till vegetables are done. Add water if required.
- Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves. Serve Deragong hot.
