Chakkappazham Pori is a delicious tea time snack of Kerala prepared by deep frying jackfruit dipped in a flour batter.
- 10 Jackfruit pods, slit lengthwise
- 1 cup All purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons Corn flour
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 pinch turmeric powder
- 1 pinch Salt
- Oil for deep frying
- Make a batter by combining all purpose flour, corn flour, turmeric powder, salt, sugar and 3 / 4 cup of water in a bowl.
- Dip the jackfruit pieces in the batter & deep fry till golden brown .
- Serve Chakkappazham pori with hot tea.
