Milk based sweet dish made from aval or poha
- 1 cup Aval/Poha
- 2 cups Milk
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- Cashews, to garnish
- Raisins, to garnish
- Ghee roast cashews and rasins till brown. Keep aside.
- Ghee roast aval till brown. Add milk and water. Bring to boil. Stir frequently. Cook till volume reduces to 3/4th.
- Add sugar. Cook till sugar is dissolved and payasam is thick.
- Garnish with cashews and rasins. Serve Aval Payasam hot.
