Sookhi Moong Dal

Dry moong dal preparation with spices

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Moong dal
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Green chili paste
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1/2 Bay leaf
  • 1 Dry red chili
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 2 teaspoons Oil
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Soak moon dal for 10 minutes.
  2. Stir fry moon dal along with oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chilli, bay leaf, ginger paste and green chilli paste.
  3. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt. Mix well.
  4. Cover cooked till mong dal is cooked.
