Broken wheat porridge used as dessert in Rajasthan


  • 1 cup Dalia (Broken Wheat)
  • 3/4 cup Ghee (Clarified Butter)
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup Almonds and Raisins


  1. Roast dalia in ghee till golden.
  2. Add milk or water. Cover and cook till dalia has absorbed liquid and cooked.
  3. Add sugar and mix with almonds and rasins.
