Rich dessert made from evaporated milk; typical in Maharashtrian wedding
- 1/3 cup Condensed Milk
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup whipping cream (optional)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 pods cardamom
- Few strands saffron
- Mix condensed milk, milk and cream well. Bring to boil. Stir frequently.
- Continue simmering till volume reduces to half.
- Adjust taste with sugar. Sprinkle saffron and cardamom powder.
- Serve basundi chilled
